you'll be invited to attend a Briefing Session.
At the Briefing, you'll find out more about
RSVP, more of what you can do with your knowledge
and experience for the benefit of your community.
Briefing Sessions aren't all about the "business"
of our organisation. They're about our people,
about you and others like you, about your well-being
and progress. Prepare yourself to make new friends,
take up new hobbies, narrow your infocomm divide
and enjoy the benefits of being part of RSVP.
And you'll get to enjoy some of them - at our
in-house events such as enrichment and self-improvement
talks/classes, festive get-togethers, and fellowship
gatherings where refreshments are served.
At our very own Infocomm Centre, you are trained
on the latest Pentium computers with seniors
who understand your needs, in an environment
that is very senior-friendly.
Furthermore, considering the fact that we are
a relatively “young” organisation,
we are one of the leaders in providing insurance
coverage for our volunteers. Effective November
2002, most of our volunteers are covered by
an insurance policy comprising:
1. For Volunteers up to 70 years of age
Death or Permanent Disablement - $50,000. Medical
Reimbursement for each accident based on actual
expenses subject to a maximum of $1,000.
2. For Volunteers between 70 to 75 years of
age Death or Permanent Disablement - $10,000
The coverage is for any mishap which happens
anywhere in the world (not just Singapore).
The basic proviso is that the volunteer must
be either doing volunteering work or going to
or coming from his/her volunteering work.
