RSVP Singapore wins NCSS Outstanding VWO Award 2010 for Innovation

This is the National Council of Social Service (NCSS) inaugural award which is given to a voluntary organisation who has demonstrated innovation in its programmes, practices and service ideas which have resulted in better service delivery to its clients and subsequent achievement of social impact, enhanced staff welfare or increased income.

The award was given in support of specifically four of our programmes - Changi Senior Ambassador, Learning Journey, Senior Guiding and Cyberguide.

Dr Philbert Chin, president of RSVP Singapore accepted the award at the NCSS Members Conference 2010 on Innovation Applications in Policy & Practice held on October 12 at the NTUC Centre Auditorium. Guest-of-Honour Mrs Yu-Foo Yee Shoon, Minister of State, Community Development, Youth and Sports presented the award, which comes with prize money of $20,000.

Dr Chin, in a press interview, mentioned that engaging the seniors both mentally and physically is a goal at the heart of RSVP's activities for its members.
