Polytechnic Students Outreach (PSOP)

RSVP volunteers befriend international students with the aim of enriching the quality of life of these students.

Through interaction, volunteers hope to provide a positive influence on the students, both academically and socially.

International students form 11% of each polytechnic's student population. Annually, about 3% of them are new to Singapore.

The focus of the programme is on this group of students and the activities organised cover:

	Orientation - international students learn more about Singapore, our transport system, local food, customs and multi-racial society and languages.
	Conversational English classes - RSVP volunteers help the international students improve their conversational English to foster greater cross-cultural understanding.
